Abstract

Wetland soils of Adani in Enugu State were characterized and evaluated for swamp rice production. The soils were developed from deposits of alluvium underlain by Imo clay shale materials. Data were obtained from six pedons, two in each of the identified soil units. The conventional (non-parametric) method and fertility capability classification (FCC) systems were employed in the evaluation.
