The researcher adopted a survey design for the study. A structured questionnaire of 28 items was used to elicit responses for the study. The research instrument was validated by three experts, the correlation coefficient obtained using the Spearman Brown Prophecy formula was .88. This indicates that the instrument was of a high level of reliability. Research questions were analyzed using the mean with standard deviation while the hypotheses were tested using t-test at .05 level of significance. The findings showed that SIWES is relevant to student academic career, business education graduates' job placement and in exposure of students to work method in acquiring skills and handling tools. The researcher recommended among others that students' should be properly and adequately oriented on the importance of SIWES to their academic and professional development from their first year of study, monitored and supervised properly by both school and industry based supervisor to enhance their seriousness for job placement and students should participate actively in SIWES for development of their academic career.</p> N. The design of the study was descriptive survey design. Two research questions and one null Hypothesis guided the study. A sample size of 120 students currently studying guidance and counselling at 2nd and 3rd degree levels out of a population of 142, selected using proportionate sampling technique participated in the study. A questionnaire that was duly validated and with reliability index values of 0.56 and 0.65, was used for data collection. Mean, standard deviation and t-test were used to analyze data. The findings were that lack of fund, inadequate pre-practicum preparation, uncondusive practicum environment (sites), students’ ignorance about practicum supervision, inability to satisfy the needs of clients were perceived as the challenges. Solution included payment of practicum allowance, allowing students to choose practicum settings for themselves, strict supervision, provision of moral support and adequate simulation in micro practicum. There was no significant gender difference in the perception of the students. Based on the findings, discussion, conclusion and recommendations were made. One of the recommendations was that counsellor-educators on the universities staff should proactively encourage universities’ management to be paying practicum allowance to the students to enable them procure practicum materials and be mentally prepared for the exercise.</p> C. The population consisted of 12080 mothers of children (age from birth to 3 years) in the 604 government approved crèche/nursery schools in the State. A sample of 1200 mothers (respondents) was drawn from this population using stratified random sampling technique. The instrument used for data collection was a 46-item Feeding, Cleaning and Sanitation Practices Scale (FCSPS) adopted to evaluate CFCS practices of p mothers related to infancy. Means and standard deviations were used to answer the research questions while one-way Analysis of Variance was used to test the null hypotheses at 0.05 significant level. The findings revealed that maternal occupation and the number of steady adults in the family significantly influenced the CFCS practices of such parents. Civil servants performed significantly better than teachers in CFCS practices while teachers&nbsp;&nbsp; performed significantly&nbsp;&nbsp; better than traders and traders better than artisans and farmers. Further findings showed that CFCS practices of mothers is best when there are two or three steady adults in the family compared to when there is one or&nbsp; more than three steady adults.&nbsp; Among others, it was recommended that government and social welfare centres should assist nursing mothers who are artisans and traders in terms of knowledge and material support on CFCS practices. Parents should also limit the number of steady adults in the family to two or three to avoid the law of diminishing returns on the contributions of such adults to CFCS practices of mothers.</p> Charity O. A descriptive survey design was used for the study. Five research questions guided the study. The population of the study consisted of 5,838 lecturers.&nbsp; The sample for the study was 416 lecturers obtained using Taro Yamane’s Formula.&nbsp; Proportionate stratified random sampling procedure was used to select the number of lecturers per the five universities. One instrument namely “Sources of University Teachers’ Job Satisfaction Questionnaire” (UTJSQ) was used. The instrument was validated by three experts in Educational Administration and Planning, and one expert from Measurement and Evaluation, from University of Nigeria, Nsukka. The reliability coefficient of 0.83 was obtained.&nbsp; The data collected were presented using mean, and standard deviation. The findings indicated that social interaction is a source of lecturers’ job satisfaction in South-East Nigeria. These include working with colleagues, students, immediate superiors, subordinates, non teaching staff, and communities.&nbsp; It was revealed that working conditions, infrastructural facilities, university policies, monetary benefits are not sources of job satisfaction lecturers.&nbsp; It was recommended that the government should provide adequate sources of job satisfaction to enable the lecturers derive job satisfaction from their job.&nbsp;</p> F.
